Until Rivian or any BEV manufacturer can produce cars at scale and make money in the process skepticism is warranted. I noticed the Ryobi tool and also the use of a reciprocating saw to cut small firewood. Ryobi has a new 'pruner' which in reality is a 6-inch one-handed chainsaw. It's AWESOME for small to medium stuff and being one-handed you can (very carefully) hold the piece you're cutting if it's not attached to a tree anymore, so safer IMO. Like a hot knife through butter. Don't use my recipe saw anymore. Here in Australia, the kit version comes with a nice carry case/hard shell. I just bought the tool-only version. Keep having fun. Enjoying this series. 👍😃🛠 PS. Where are the bears!?

How did Chris get so good at woodworking? Between learning to fly a helicopter and becoming a doctor, seems like he's busy! I really want to get into woodworking myself but don't know where to start

It's really cool seeing lug nuts put on with an impact wrench but personally I would loosen them all and retorque them by hand because then when you're stuck alongside the road changing your flat tire you'll be able to get them back off again. When they're put on with a impact that might not be the case. The other thing that you may want to check and maybe you've addressed this and just didn't put it into the video but now that you have a lift kit I bet your jack no longer fits. So maybe throw a better Jack and at least one Jack stand into the truck someplace so that you can safely swap a tire.

Dents add character you're driving a truck that is designed to go off road if you don't have some minor dings on it nobody will ever believe you drove it Off Road. Wait until you break something major then get them to fix it otherwise you're spending more time fixing the thing than driving it. One of the first things I did when I had a cargo van was I backed into a post that was directly behind the split line between the windows at the back of the van. This was in the days well before backup cameras. Dented the middle of my chrome bumper in. My solution was to wrap that post with a chain, hook to the back bumper and pull forward 6 inches pulling it straight and I never touched it or looked at it again. I just got really good at looking at parking spaces before backing into them. No camera needed.

Definitely leave the posts and put lights above the work surface!! Looking good!

Add a baby pin mount behind the counter so you put up a telescopic light stand when you need it but take it off when you don’t want to look at the pole 👍

Came back to re-watch this as we plan a big trip West for our own flying channel. You went South West, and we'll be going North West to the Arctic Ocean and the Yukon. Anyway, what struck me is the fluidity of language around the 8:17 mark. When Chris says "the El Paso Route" as one sentence he says it in American 'Rowt', but when using Route in any other sentence he says it in Canadian 'Root'.

Love the latches for the legs. So satisfying. I’ve had a similar issue with a build with way the panel hangs and swings out. Magnet latches solved that pretty well.

We had an outdoor kitchen. It had a roof and counters like your and enough room for a table and chairs. It got a lot of use in the shoulder seasons because you didn't have to worry about rain. Perhaps you should leave the posts and have a way to rig up a tarp roof?

Hi, the cooking area looks great. I was wondering if you were going to stain the cooking and decking areas so that it is weather proof? Also, the steak and noodles looked delicious. I think it could have used some sort of gravy or sauce though. All the best from England.

You should add a mounting point for a 5 gallon propane tank. Then you won’t have to worry about bringing fuel for the camp stove every visit. You could even add a little housing for it to keep it protected from the elements.

Make sure you clear out the spiders before sticking your hand under to release the latch for the leg, lol.
